Milan has improved a great deal since the start of this campaign, but let’s not sugarcoat it. This tie is an extremely tall order. Barcelona are a familiar foe (unfortunately) and while Rossoneri players and bosses have declared this to be a psychological benefit that will all go out the window when the opening whistle blows.

Quick Preview: AC Milan v. Parma

Kickoff: 2:45 PM ET (USA) / 20:45 CET (ITA)

Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Milan, Italy

Friday football! A labored draw with Cagliari mercifully behind us, the Rossoneri move into an important fixture at home against Parma before taking on mighty Barcelona in the Champions League. A slew of injuries and that upcoming match to consider give Allegri some coaching to do but whatever line-up he decides to field will need to be singularly focused on Friday or a solid Parma side could steal points from Il Diavolo once again.

Serie A Preview: Cagliari v. AC Milan

Date: Sunday, February 10 2013

Kickoff: 9:00 AM ET (USA) / 15:00 CET (ITA)

League Position: Milan (4), Cagliari (16)

Stadio Olimpico, Turin, Italy (maybe)

A big debut from a big signing earned the Rossoneri an important three points last weekend. Mario Balotelli (with some help from the referee) began his Milan career with a brace and helped his new side vault over his former employers in the process. Now in fourth place, the expectations are rising higher and higher for Max Allegri’s side and the final Champions League spot is well within reach.

Serie A Preview: AC Milan v. Udinese

Date: Sunday, February 3 2013

Kickoff: 2:45 PM ET (USA) / 20:45 CET (ITA)

League Position: Milan (5), Udinese (9)

Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Milan, Italy

Milanisti have spent much of this week fixated on the Balotelli transfer, and rightfully so. But lost in Balotelli fever is the fact that a dangerous Udinese side, in solid form of late, are set to visit the San Siro on Sunday. The Rossoneri themselves are of course on the upswing as well, unbeaten in the new year and now just 3 points back of city rivals Inter and 6 behind Lazio in 3rd.

Mario to Milan: Winners and Losers

The Balotelli saga is finally over! It has long seemed inevitable that the mercurial Italian international would end up at Milan someday. But with fortunes flagging for both the striker in Manchester and the squad in Italy (though things are looking up), the time was right for the move to happen and with a bit of the old Galliani/Berlusconi magic, Milan’s prodigal son is finally coming home.

But not everyone should be excited about Balotelli’s arrival. Mario leaves equal parts joy and destruction in his wake. Let’s take a closer look at the winners and losers at the start of his new beginning at Milan.

Serie A Preview: Atalanta v. AC Milan

Date: Sunday, January 27 2013

Kickoff: 9:00 AM ET (USA) / 15:00 CET (ITA)

League Position: Milan (6) – Atalanta (13)

Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia, Bergamo, Italy

Though the scoreline doesn’t properly tell the tale it was a solid Milan performance last time out against Bologna. This week they face another mid-table squad, albeit one that took all three points off the Rossoneri when they met at the San Siro this season. Atalanta make up in aggression what they lack in attack, and Allegri must have the team prepared for a real scrap in Bergamo this Sunday.

Serie A Preview: AC Milan v. Bologna

Date: Sunday, January 20 2013

Kickoff: 9:00 AM ET (USA) / 15:00 CET (ITA)

League position: Milan (7) – Bologna (14)

Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Milan, Italy

The return half of Serie A began better than the first with Milan picking up a point over a Sampdoria side that snatched all three all the way back in round 1. At this point in the season (and in the “new Milan” adventure) a draw in a game that could have gone either way is satisfying enough, although the Rossoneri did miss out on the chance to leapfrog listless Roma. Bologna is a squad Milan easily handled away in September, but the Rossoblu have found an offense and the victory might not be as easy to come by this time around.

Allegri’s Anthem

When Max Allegri heard about this new site flying his famous catchphrase on its banner, the magnanimous Milan manager reached out to us with a hot exclusive sure to attract new readers.

Turns out, with speculation about his job flying earlier this year and most likely more to come at the end, S. Allegri has had to have backup plans ready.

Medieval Count is no longer a lucrative option so should he finally get the sack, it seems Max intends to focus on his second love: music.

And so in honor of the new site (and, of course, to interest any talent agents out there) we are proud to present Max Allegri’s very first single! Enjoy!
